The Chain Of Command is the line of authority, accountability and responsibility that connects the most senior Officers and officials in the United States down to the newest recruit in the Navy. At the very top of the Chain of Command is the President of the United States. The President of the United States is the Honorable . The next link in our Chain Of Command is the Vice President of the United States. The Vice President is the Honorable . The next link in the Chain Of Command is the Secretary of Defense. The Secretary of Defense is the Honorable . The Secretary of the Navy is the next link down the chain. The Secretary of the Navy is the Honorable . Now the Chain Of Command shifts to Active Duty Naval Officers. The next link down is the senior Officer in the Navy, the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO). The current CNO is Admiral . The next link in our Chain Of Command is the Commander of the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). This Officer controls all Naval Training and Education Resources. Currently, Rear Admiral is the Commander of NETC. Just below NETC in the Chain of Commnd is the Commander of the Naval Service Training Command (NTSC). This position is currently filled by Rear Admiral . From him we move another step down the chain to your NJROTC Area Manager, your Senior Naval Science Instructor and your Naval Science Instructor(s).
